Update Samsung Galaxy Note 2: support out with ... - OptiMagazine

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is set to receive Android 4.4.2 update KitKat , which could also be the last major-update of the device. The roll-out of the update will start from the end of March , so going to solve, hopefully permanently, all the problems that have emerged with Android 4.3.

According to indiscretions gathered by Ibtimes.com , there is a good chance that the terminal concludes its life cycle with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, without being able to touch Android 4.5 officially. The rumors suggest that the incremental update, always forged KK, will initially be exclusive to the Nexus 10 2, and was then released on all devices and the owners of the Nexus line Google Edition. Samsung will take quite a bit ‘of time before they make it compatible with the TouchWiz UI Android 4.5 .

Into the meantime, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, released in September 2012, will be over 18 months of age, a term outside of which is discontinued support software. The same fate is reserved for the Galaxy S3 device even more dated (May 2012), unlike the Samsung Galaxy S5, S4 and Notes 3, among the first receivers of the brand of Android 4.5.

Into the case in which all this materializes, the owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 could still test the features incremental update through ROM cooked by independent developers, who continue to provide support for this terminal.

Meanwhile, it is hoped that the phablet second generation will soon receive Android 4.4.2 KitKat to see solved all bugs related to Android 4.3. In this regard, we will not fail to provide the necessary information.
