Galaxy Bedroom 2 is a compact inspired by the Galaxy Note 3 - Tom's Hardware Guide

Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Room 2 , the evolution of the first model debuted in August 2012, which follows the essence, namely the Android operating system. The equipment is largely identical to that of the first compact: 16.3 megapixel sensor , accompanied by a zoom lens whose focal length is 21X 23-481mm equivalent, and equipped with a system of optical stabilization.

The novelty is the quad-core processor 1.6 GHz , which takes the place of the 1.4 GHz of the previous version. Alongside him there are 2 GB of RAM and a 2000 mAh battery . For storage of the photos are available only 2.8 GB of the 8 GB total storage media. Taking advantage of the room, however, you can add microSD 64 GB of extra space, and Samsung offers in more than 50 GB of free storage space on Dropbox for two years.

The other novelty is the operating system Android 4.3, which takes the place of Android 4.1 installed on the first version. At the moment there is no information about a possible upgrade to Kitkat. The rear display is 4.8-inch 720p.

Note also the new features including Tag & Go to sync photos with Wi-Fi or NFC with smartphone and tablet. The new Galaxy Bedroom 2 also has 28 preset shooting modes that help novice users to get decent shots in any situation.

The latest buzz is about the aesthetics: materials were borrowed from the Galaxy Note 3 with a leatherette handle for a better grip. The new model is also more compact than its predecessor: it measures 132.5 x 71.2 x 19.3 mm and weighs 283 grams.

There are no details on pricing and availability: the Galaxy Room 2 will debut officially at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, which starts on January 7. Stay tuned because our correspondents will not fail to give it a try and let you know first impressions.
